 Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH), a leading investment company in the power generation business, was founded on March 7, 2000, following cabinet’s approval on November 30, 1999. The Cabinet has approved the fund raising plan for Ratchaburi power plant project through the initial public offering of 580 million common shares of the Company in October 2000. Currently, the Company is a listed company and being registered on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) under “RATCH” stock symbol The Company’s major shareholder is the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), which hold 45 percent of the Company.
Recently, the Company’s registered capital was 14,500 million Baht. The Company is operated as a holding company investing in 6 subsidiary companies namely: Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co. Ltd., Ratchaburi Energy Co., Ltd., Ratchaburi Gas Co., Ltd., Ratch Udom Power Co., Ltd., Ratchaburi Alliances Co., Ltd. and RATCH-LAO Services Co., Ltd. with a 99.99% stake.
At present, the Company has a total installed capacity of 4,346.75 MW., deriving from its current commercial operating power plants. The Company’s share of capacity resulting from its equity in domestic projects are as follows: 3,645-MW Ratchaburi’s Power Plant, 350-MW Tri Energy’s Power Plant, 350-MW Ratchaburi Power’s Power Plant. There is also 1.75-MW generated from the Flared Gas Project in Sukhothai province. Moreover, the Company has both local and international projects: 153.75 MW-Nam Ngum 2’s Hydro Power Plant in the Lao PDR, 18 MW-Wind Power Project in Phetchabun province and the 0.875 MW-Extension of the Pradu Thao Power Plant in Sukhothai province. The Company has three developing projects in the Lao PDR: 751 MW-Hongsa Power Plant, 110 MW-Nam Ngum 3’s Hydro Power Plant and 98 MW-Xe Pien Xe Nam Noy’s Hydro Power Plant. Considering its current commercial power plants, ongoing projects and developing projects, the Company achieve a total installed capacity of 5,478.38 MW in the near future.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co., Ltd. signed the extension of operation and maintenance agreement
between Ratchaburi Power Plant and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand with a total transaction
value of 16,502.29 million baht, which the validity of contract for Thermal Power Plant is 16-year and for
Combined-Cycle Power Plant is 18-year.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. signed a shareholders agreement to set Hongsa Power Co., Ltd.
for electricity generation concession and Phu Fai Mining Co., Ltd. for lignite mining concession, where the head
offices are located in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. signed a share purchase agreement and shareholders
agreement with the Renewable Energy Corporation Co., Ltd. for a 60-MW Wind Power project’s development
in Phetchabun province, 26% stake being held by RATCH.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. invested 35 million Baht in the expansion of 0.875 MW-Pradu
Thao Power Plant in Sukhothai, which is fired by associated gas, a by-product of oil refining from Pradu
Thao-A rig.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co., Ltd. reduced its interest rate of 19,797.79 million baht remaining loan.
This attempt saved 540 million baht interest payment for 6 year period.
RATCH-LAO Services signed operation and maintenance agreement for Nam Ngum 2’s Hydro Power Plant with
Nam Ngum 2 Power Co., Ltd., which the validity contract is 27-year and total transaction value is 4,700
million baht.
RATCH-LAO Services Co., Ltd. signed subcontract agreement with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand
(EGAT) on operation and maintenance of dam and powerhouse for Nam Ngum 2 Hydro Power Plant in Lao PDR,
which the validity contract is 27-year and total contraction value is 2,000 million baht.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. purchased the additional common shares of Sustainable Energy
Corporation Co., Ltd., the developer of Wind Power project in Phetchabun province to increase its stake
to 30%.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. has transferred 30% of the Wind Power Project in Phetchabun and increased the registered capital to Ratchaburi Energy Co., Ltd., its subsidiary on renewable energy development by 500 million baht. Appearently, Ratchaburi Energy Co., Ltd. has the registered capital of 640 million baht.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. has invested 10% stake in EGAT Diamond Service Co., Ltd., which provides repair & maintenance services for Hot Gas Path Parts in support of power generation in Thailand.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. signed 25-year concession agreement for electricity generation and lignite mining on Hongsa Thermal Power Plant project in Lao PDR.
