RATCH - Rajburi Sugar jointly develops cogeneration power plant project

Nonthaburi: Recently, Mr. Pongdith Potchana (Third from right), Chief Executive Officer of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) and the Chairman of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Company Limited (RATCHGEN), Mr. Sunthorn Arunanondchai (Second from right), Chairman of Rajburi Sugar Company Limited (Rajburi Sugar), Mr. Peerawat Pumthong, Chief Business Development Officer of RATCH (First from left) and Mrs. Araya Arunanondchai (First from right), Chief Executive Officer of Rajburi Sugar, participated in the signing ceremony of shareholders’ agreement for co-investing in equity of Rajburi Cogeneration Company Limited.  This joint venture company will develop and operate the THB4.7 billion gas-fired cogeneration power plant project which has total installed generation capacity of 100-megawatt. Rajburi Cogeneration Company Limited signed the 25-year power purchase agreement with EGAT for 90-megawatt capacity when the commercial operation is targeted on June 2019. The 10-megawatt capacity and 15-ton/hour steam will be generated and distributed to the group of Rajburi Sugar Company Limited.
