RATCH inaugurated the Southeast Asia's largest wind farm

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Co., Ltd. holds 20 per cent stake in both projects.  Each of which consists of 45 units of 2.3-MW wind turbines with 207 MWs in total capacity. Both projects were awarded the non-firm power purchase agreements for small power producer from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) with 10-year subsidy of Baht 3.50 per unit adder tariff from the Power Department Fund Management Division, Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission.  The projects are already commercially operated and generated the electricity to EGAT. This will help counter the  import of fossil fuel by 96.4 million liters annually while reducing the CO2 emission by 270,176 tonnes per annum.  Also, it is to respond to the Ministry of Energy's policy in promoting the renewable energy.
