RATCH appoints Mr. Rum Herabat as new CEO, to be effective from 1 October 2015

Nonthaburi: Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) today announced that Mr. Rum Herabat has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as per the Board of Directors’ resolution dated on 20 July 2015. His appointment is to replace Mr. Pongdith Potchana who will retire on September 30, 2015.

Mr. Rum, 59 years-old, currently serves as the Deputy Governor-Generation of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). He graduated a bachelor of engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from Chulalongkorn University. He is well-known for his in-depth knowledge, experience and expertise of power business due to his 36 professional years in EGAT.  Besides, he supervised various areas such as fuel management, electricity operation, and civil and mechanical maintenance of power plants.

Mr. Rum will officially assume the fifth CEO of RATCH on 1 October 2015, and continuously pursue the corporate growth strategy with an aim to achieve 282 billion baht economic value in 2020, equivalent to 9,700-MW capacity.
