RATCH Group announced Collector Wind Farm signed 10-year PPA Starting commercial operation in January 2021

Nonthaburi- RATCH Group Public Company Limited (RATCH) announced that RATCH-Australia Corporation Pty Ltd. (“RAC”), its wholly-owned subsidiary in Australia, has entered into a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of Collector Wind Farm project with Infigen Energy, which is a listed company on the Australian Securities Exchange. According to the contract, Infigen Energy will purchase 60 percent of the electricity generated from Collector project starting from its first energy generation in 2020 until December 31, 2030.

Mr. Kijja Sripatthangkura, RATCH CEO revealed that the AUD 360-million Collector project is a large wind farm which is capable to annually generate average 528 gigawatts-hour of electricity for serving power consumption of around 80,000 households. The under-construction project is planned to commence wind farm commissioning in November 2020 and commercial operation in January 2021.

“The Company is pleased that RATCH-Australia has reached a power purchase agreement with Infigen Energy, a power leader who plays a vital role in Australia’s transition to a clean energy future. This success reflects the company’s efforts in creating stable and steady income. In addition, RAC is underway of negotiation to sell a partial portion of the remaining generation with other off-taker and another portion would distribute in the Australian electricity market”, said Mr. Kijja.

The 226.80-MW Collector Wind Farm project, located in the New South Wales, Australia, hold 100% stake by RATCH-Australia Corporation Pty Ltd. (“RAC”). At present, RAC invests in seven renewable projects with combined capacity of 665.69 megawatts, including 33-MW Starfish Hill Wind Farm, 21-MW Toora Wind Farm, 12-MW Windy Hill Wind Farm, 42.5-MW Collinsville Solar Farm, 180.45-MW Mount Emerald Wind Farm, 226.8-MW Collector Wind Farm and 149.94-MW Yandin Wind Farm.
