RATCH gave scholarships for teachers and students in Lao PDR to pursue undergraduate studies under “Education for Career Empowerment Project”

Recently, Ms. Boontiva Dansamasatid, Executive Vice President of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited, as the company's representative, granted scholarships to teachers and vocational students in Lao PDR under “Education for Career Empowerment Project” that has been arranged for fourth consecutive year. This program will offers 20 scholarships with a value of LAK200 million or THB800,000 for teachers and students to further study in Faculty of Engineering in the field of electrical power, welding and mechanics. Also, Mr. Noopun Oodsa, Director General, Department of Vocational Education, Lao PDR's Ministry of Education and Sports as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somkiat Phasy, IT Center Director, Ministry of Education and Sports honorably participated in this ceremony.

This scholarship is a part of “Education for Career Empowerment Project” which is the five-year program that is the collaboration between Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited and Lao PDR's Ministry of Education and Sports in order to support and strengthen the vocational education that is in line with the strategy to upgrade the education standard and skill of vocational students to support the growing labor market in Lao PDR.

In this year, the Company operated the intensive training programs for 160 participants and gave 26 scholarships for undergraduate level and 14 scholarships for vocational certificate level. RATCH also gave modern equipment for laboratories to 6 vocational schools in Vientiane, Vientiane province, Luang Prabang province and Xaignabouli province.
