RATCH makes a donation to support publication and dissemination of ‘how to cope with natural disaster’ learning kits for primary school students

Bangkok: Recently, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted an audience to Mr. Prayut Thongsuwan, Executive Vice President - Corporate Administration of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) to jointly present financial support amounting to THB 400,000 for supporting publication and dissemination of learning kits to equip primary school students with ‘how to cope with natural disaster’ under IT technology project initiated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Dusidalai Hall, Chitralada Villa.

IT technology project initiated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arranged learning kits to equip primary school students with ‘how to cope with natural disaster. There were many organizations helping recheck content accuracy of this learning kit, such as Geological Society of Thailand, Natural Disaster Warning Center and Thai Meteorological Department. The said kits can be applied to other subjects for enhancing children’s understanding and readiness to cope with possible natural disasters, such as earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami, storm, flooding and drought.  

Therefore, Geological Society of Thailand invited five companies including Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH), The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), PTT Public Company Limited, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd. and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited which were all its network to give financial assistance for supporting publication and dissemination of the said learning kits.
