RATCH building received the Logo of "MEA the Outstanding Energy Saving Building Award" under 2014 MEA Energy Saving Building Award Program which was organized for two consecutive years as RATCH conducted activities to improve energy efficiency in building and successfully implemented energy conservation measures to enhance energy efficiency for building, with energy saving outcome that met the criteria of MEA index. Also, the Company can save of energy of up to 571,000 units per year or equal to 1.9 million Baht per year, with the carbon dioxideemission reduction of more than 332 tons per year.

RATCH received Thailand Sustainable Investment (THSI) award as one of 51 listed companies answering the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s sustainability-related questionnaire, with the score that is on par with the ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) indicators. THSI award was firstly given to qualified companies this year in order to upgrade Thai listed company’s sustainability to meet the international standards.

The company was praised at excellent level, with CG Scoring of 91% by Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies (CGR) organized by Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD). The objectives of this award are to present the results of corporate governance performance and to encourage the development and improvement of good corporate governance paradigm of Thai listed companies. The assessment criteria were based on the principles of good governance by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD Principles of Corporate Governance) and by the Stock Exchange of Thailand. ASEAN CG Scorecard is to assess and rank corporate governance performances of listed companies of participating ASEAN member countries organized by ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF), which consists of capital market regulators from each ASEAN country. This award is to provide investors with corporate governance information for their investment decision-making processes, and to encourage listed companies to recognize the significance of complying with CG principles. ASEAN CG Scorecard is considered the mean criteria in raising the standards of corporate governance among listed companies and in promoting quality investment in the ASEAN region, and to select the TOP 100 listed companies with the highest market capitalization as of April 30 each year.

Based son AGM Quality Assessment Project organized by Thai Investors Association, RATCH’s 2015 AGM was rated at the level 5. The objective of this project is to enhance the quality of AGMs of Thai listed companies to match international standards on participation, shareholders’ rights and good governance in business conduct, and to raise awareness of shareholders of the benefit of attending the AGM and forge collaboration and good relations among related agencies in the capital market.

RATCH took this certificate in recognition of its operation of a safe workplace. The objective of this award is to enhance workplace collaboration in preventing work accidents by workers. To win a certificate, employers are to lay down a work safety system strictly as required by the law to lower the probability of accidents or work-related diseases, mentor, and solve work-related problems and overcome obstacles

For the second year running, RATCH won a bronze plaque thanks to its Zero Accident campaign for 2015, since RATCH had not faced any work-related accident from 1 million to 2.999999 million man-hours under this year’s campaign. The award presenter was the Director-General, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. The ceremony took place at the Office of Labour Safety at the department.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co., Ltd., won a special honorary award for its eight consecutive years (2008-2015) of winning the Ministry of Labour Award for Labour Relations and Welfare for a small workplace (50-299 workers) without a labour unions. RATCH passed the criteria for operating a business in compliance with the Labour Protection Act, B.E. 2541 (1998), and the Labour Relations Act, B.E. 2518 (1975), scoring 80 or more on both counts.

RATCH won the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2015 at the CSR-DIW (Corporate Social Responsibility Department of Industrial Works) Awards 2015 event, in recognition of RATCH’s achievement in relentlessly operating its business with dedication and commitment along with stewardship of society and communities toward sustainable growth. The award was established in 2008 by the department. To date, 630 plants nationwide have consistently applied CSR – DIW standards in their workplaces.

RATCH accepted an award recognizing its support to the work of the Royal Forest Department from the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment at a plaque and certificate presentation ceremony on the department’s 119th anniversary. Both ran a project called “60 Community Forests Conserve Plant Genetics under a Royal Initiative in Honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” on her 60th birthday anniversary (April 2, 2015) and another project on the participatory investigation of carbon storage and biodiversity in community forests. Both projects are follow-ups from the “Love the Forest and Communities” Project.

RATCH earned an Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) Asian Utility Award 2015 in the category of small capitalization, silver performance, security in recognition of its outstanding performance and regular shareholder returns for the past three years, with performance of an international level, excellent services delivered, and support for sustainable economic growth at national and regional levels.

RATCH accepted an ESG 100 Company Certificate from the Director of Thaipat Institute as a listed company in the energy and utilities business category with outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. The evaluation and rating of the top 100 Thai listed companies with outstanding ESG performance (ESG 100), conducted by Thaipat Institute, was regarded as Thailand’s first such ranking of listed companies with sustainability development. A total of 567 SET-listed Thai companies were evaluated for their sustainability, based on their public reports or information which identifies sources and periods publicized. Such information will prove useful to investors who are keen to invest in socially and environmental responsible companies.

The Company received a trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali as being the benefactor supporting and assisting the arrangement of 2014 National Day of Disabled Persons organized by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under Royal Patronage.

The company received this award due to ‘Klayim’ Youth Camp under the ‘Love the Forest and the Community Project’ that has been annually organizing since 2008. This project focuses on building awareness of forest conservation among the youth from community forests nationwide.

The Company received a trophy as being a benefactor from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali at the Phya Thai Palace on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Her Majesty Queen Saovabha Phongsri. This event was organized by Rajini Foundation, in collaboration with the Committee of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Her Majesty Queen Saovabha Phongsri.

The company and Royal Forest Department have been joining hands to encourage communities to maintain the community forest under the “Love the Forest and the Community Project” implemented since 2008 with an aim to enhance the green areas for storing CO2 and mitigating global warming problems.

Organized for two consecutive years, RATCH conducted energy efficiency improvement in the office building and successfully implemented in line with the criteria of MEA index. The company can save up to 571,000 kWh/year or equal cost saving of 2 million baht per year, and the carbon dioxide emission reduction of more than 332 tons per year.

The company’s operation was on par with 7 standards of Green Office Project, including organizational management, energy and resource efficiency, wastewater management, decent workplace environment, procurement and continuous improvement.

Fuel oil transmission system project for the Ratchaburi Thermal Power Plant, unit 1 and 2 under the operation of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co., Ltd., received “Outstanding Award” for energy project as its operation was in line with EIA monitoring measures and outstanding environmental management performance.

The company’s score from Corporate Governance assessment of 87% was higher than 72% of mean score from 550 surveyed companies in total. Also, its scores in all categories were higher than the mean score. The survey criteria were in line with ASEAN CG Scorecard Standard.

The company was voted by 1,900 participants via questionnaires.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited was one of 41 companies being assessed with 100 full scores and rated “Excellence with Distinctive Praiseworthiness” among the entire 497 listed companies participating in the 2009 AGM assessment organized by the Thai Investors Association.

The announcement was held on December 11, 2007. The award is to recognize and promote the Board of Directors of listed companies that effectively and efficiently perform their duties. The Company won such recognition for the second consecutive year after the 2005/2006 one. In August 2007, The Thai Investors Association and Thai Listed Companies Association jointly announced that Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) was rated “Excellent” in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) Assessment in 2007. According to the assessment, RATCH was in the range of 90 points out of 100 points. The overall evaluation was 74 points and 91 points for the general listed companies category and the SET 50 index group category, respectively. There were 460 companies participating in the AGM assessment. According to the criteria, their accounting periods must end on December 31, 2006 and such companies must not be categorized in the Non-performing group (NPG). Regarding the evaluation level, there were 5 levels which were excellent, very good, good, fair and improvement needed. The evaluation is classified into 5 levels: “Excellent”, “Very Good”, “Good”, “Satisfactory”, and “Pass”. The evaluation was made based on the information sources such as company annual report, annual registration statement (Form 56-1), notice and minutes of company’s shareholders meeting, company website, information on SET/SEC database, and other publicly available information. The evaluation criteria were developed based on the following five core principles of corporate governance of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Stock Exchange of Thailand: 1) Rights of shareholders, 2) Equitable treatment of shareholders, 3) Role of stakeholders, 4) Disclosure and transparency, and 5) Board responsibilities. In December 2005, Platts, the world’s leading energy information service provider, announced its recognition of outstanding financial and industry performance of the company in the Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings. The ranking measured companies’ financial performance based on 5 criteria: total asset, income, profit, Earnings Per Share (EPS) and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC). The Company was ranked 218th out of 250 top energy companies and was one of the only three Thai energy firms awarded Platts 250 Top Global Energy Company Rankings.

The Board of Directors of the Company was awarded “the Board of the Year Award 2004/2005” from the Institute of Directors (IOD) in an event co-organized with the SET, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai Bankers Association and the Association of Listed Companies. The award was given on the basis of the Board of Directors’ policy, its structure, practices, relationship between internal departments and the public, preparation of meetings and the Board of Directors’ leadership.

The Company was ranked among the top 10 of 1^st Quartile (93 listed companies) according to the evaluation under the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2005, which organized by the SET, the SEC and the Institute of Directors (IOD).

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) received the SET Award 2005 in the category of Best Governance Report organized by SET as the Company were appraised “outstanding” for its compliance with the SET’s corporate governance principle.

The Company was rated at the level of “Very Outstanding” by TRIS Rating at total score 8.02 from 10 which reflected its commitment on Good Corporate Governance.

The Company was rated at "Top Quartile Companies" on its good corporate governance for the year 2003 under Baselining Corporate Governance Practices of Thai Listed Companies. The Company received this awards for third consecutive year. Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) organized this Project with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The Company received the Disclosure Report Award 2003 for listed companies with an excellent information disclosure system from the SEC for second consecutive year based on the consideration of the Company’s disclosure in its 2002 Annual Registration Statements (Form 56-1) which provided clear and sufficient information to investors and enabled them to assess important risks by reviewing 5 principal topics namely: 1. Executive Summary 2.Nature of Business 3.Risk Factors 4.Transactions with Related Companies 5.Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) In addition, the Company also disclosed other relevant information in compliance with SEC’s Criteria which included the 2002 financial statements that were prepared in accordance with accounting standards wherein an auditor did not express disclaimed opinions due to scope limitation by executives. Therefore, this award properly demonstrated the Company’s commitment in developing its good corporate governance principle to achieve extensive acceptance and reliability both domestically and internationally. Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Company Limited (RG) was awarded ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management from Det Norske Veritas (Thailand) Company Limited on July 31, 2003. ISO 14001 is the standard that was well accepted by industrial and environmental sectors domestically and internationally as it is an efficient tool that can measure the attention of power plants’ staff, conciseness of the operation, compliance with the measures of environmental impact management and control by the power plants.

SET Award 2003 Best Corporate Governance Report The Company received the SET Award 2003 in category of Best Corporate Governance Report. This award was given to listed companies with outstanding performance for complete compliance with 15 issues of good corporate governance as prescribed by the SET based on the consideration of the Annual Registration Statements (Form 56-1), the Annual Report (Form 56-2), notice of a meeting and minutes of the shareholders’ meeting. Ratchaburi Power Plant was praised as an industrial site that complied with rules for environmental impact assessments and for good environmental management in 2002 (EIA Award 2002) from Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning.

On November 5, 2002, the Company was given the Disclosure Award 2002 from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) based on the disclosure of Form 56-1 from all listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

October 2002 issue of Asiamoney Magazine awarded the Company the third best corporate governance scores in the energy sector in Asia (the first ranking in the Thai energy sector).
