RATCH announced newly appointed CEO, Mr. Kijja Sripatthangkura, to be effective on April 6, 2017

Nonthaburi- Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (RATCH) today announced that Mr. Kijja Sripatthangkura has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as per the Board of Directors’ resolution. His appointment will be effective from April 6, 2017 after Mr. Rum Herabat’s retirement.

With extensive experience over the past 30 years at Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Mr. Kijja is well regarded for expertise in engineering, economics, business administration, strategic planning particularly for power and transmission system, research and development (R&D), and IT system management. Before officially assuming the role of RATCH CEO, Mr. Kijja serves as EGAT’s Deputy Governor – Policy and Planning.

As RATCH’s leader, Mr. Kijja will leverage his experience and expertise to drive the company’s strategic plan forward to achieve the 7,500-MW growth goal or equivalent in 2017 and the 10,000-MW goal or equivalent in 2023. He will pursue the real success in research and development of RATCH’s new businesses to secure sustainable growth and cope with disruptive technology and global climate changes.

Mr. Kijja, aged 57, holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Prince of Songkla University, with certificates from various executive programs, namely Advanced Certificate Course in Public Economics Management for Executives as well as Thailand and the ASEAN Community in Global Political Economy, from King Prajadhipok's Institute; Advance Management Program from Harvard Business School, USA; and Senior Executive Program from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University.
