Tri Energy Power Plant has operated by combined-cycled technology and utilized natural gas as a primary fuel, which are similar to Ratchaburi Power Plant. RATCH looks for synergy between the two plants particularly in enhancing efficiency of spare part inventory and cost management. The company has also considered opportunity in proposing duration extension of TECO’s Power Purchase Agreement for another 10 years after the agreement’s expiration that will help strengthen the company’s operating performance. Importantly, Tri Energy Power Plant is recognised as one of main power generations because it can generate power by diesel, a secondary fuel. It, therefore, plays a key role in supporting security of national power system in crisis situation caused from gas-platform operation cease in Myanmar. RATCH will provide TECO full support to continue its business success and enhance potential value for the company growth”, added Mr. Pongdith.
