RGCO Announcement on Environment, Occupational Health and Safety
Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Co., Ltd. operates the electricity generation business with 3,645 Megawatt in capacity, to address national power demand. The generation is fueled primarily by natural gas, with bunker oil and diesel oil as secondary fuels.
With acknowledgement of the responsibility towards employees, community and stakeholders, the Company places an emphasis on the environmental, occupational health and safety management in accordance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards. All executives and workers are required to:
- Strictly comply with laws, regulations and rules relating to the environment, occupational health and safety.
- Follow the "Relation, Participation, Communication" Strategy (RPC) for peaceful co-existence with community.
- Continuously implement energy-saving measures as specified in the Company's strategy.
- Provide consultation to and promote workers or representatives' engagement and opinions on the activities relating to occupational health and safety.
- Protect the environment; prevent and control pollution caused by raw materials, the generation process or waste; and assess environmental impacts prior to the utilization of raw materials, machines or new production processes.
- Eliminate dangers of all work-related activities that may harm the health of workers and stakeholders involved with the Company's operations.
- Communicate to raise understanding and awareness in the environmental, occupational health and safety management of all relevant parties.
- Sufficiently and appropriately contribute resources, be they personnel, time, budget or personnel development.
The Company will appropriately and continuously review its projects' environmental, occupational health and safety management policy; the specification of objectives, targets and work plans; as well as the improvement and development.
